General Food Allergen Advice
If you would like to dine at Charley’s Horse but have a special dietary requirement don’t worry we can accommodate most needs. All of our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, cereals containing gluten and other allergens are prepared and our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients.

Diners concerned about the presence of allergens in our food are welcome to ask a member of the team for assistance before ordering.

Food Allergens and Intolerance
Although in theory any food could cause an allergic reaction, Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers specifies the following fourteen allergens and requires their presence in food as an ingredient to be declared:

Cereals containing gluten, such as wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut, and their hybridised strains
Peanuts (also called groundnuts)
Nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, macadamias and Queensland nuts
Fish
Crustaceans
Molluscs
Sesame seeds
Eggs
Milk and milk products (including lactose)
Soy beans
Celery
Lupin
Mustard
Sulphur dioxide and sulphites at levels above 10mg/kg or 10mg/litre expressed as SO2

Gluten Free Options
Here is some information for those who require a gluten-free diet. Charley’s Horse offers the following Mexican dishes from à la carte or, party menu for you to choose from

Fish
Our chefs take care to remove bones from fish but fish dishes may contain bones
